I lied today...or rather yesterday. I told Mary that I don't usually do resolutions, but I am doing one this year. This came to me this morning at 4am. In the year 2009, I resolve to reflect back on 2008 positively. Carefully storing away the fun times and the pleasant thoughts to cherish at a later time. Also, packing away the negative moments until the gently fade away. Remembering 2008 as the fabulous year that it was!

I will embrace 2009. I will accept each day with the wonderment of a child with pure innocence and complete enthusiasm. Waiting for each surprise to unfold to my amazement. Enjoying each moment to it's fullest...for I know this is the only moment that counts....the one that I have now.

I will not judge others. Their actions or words are a reaction to their stimulus, and have nothing to do with me...as I know, all humans really want is to be happy. People find their happiness in many way. I will find my own happiness, without cause harm to others. I will forgive everyone. And everyone will forgive me. As we do not mean each other harm, and most are reacting to their environment.

I will be thankful...very thankful...oh so thankful...for my family, my friends, my furry kids. I am thankful for my house, my town, my job, my life. I am thankful for everyone that has come in to my life....and anyone yet to do so. I will embrace their presence in my life with full passion...accepting them, learning to be a better person because of them. I will let go of those who have chosen to leave my life, or who have been taken. Life is too short to hold on to something that isn't yours...no matter why they are gone.

Most of all, I will be happy! Every moment of every day of every month, I will strive for happiest. I will also strive for fun. For life without fun, is, well, boring. I will also believe that every situation can be bettered by humor. Happiness, fun, love, and humor...that is my motto for 2009.
