Beach Bum
I tell everyone that I am a beach bum. I love the beach in the winter, as much as in the summer. And that northern Michigan beaches are more awesome than any other beach in the world. Today proves this. Take a look at my pictures from the Grand Traverse Lighthouse.


My computer said the temp today was 59. We were crawling in, on, around, and under ice caves. This experience was nothing that I have experienced before. I am going to quit typing, because words really don't describe it...... Go take a look.....

Stolen Spotlight
Well Hell (as Grandpa Havens used to say), just when I thought I had my 15 minutes, my husband, Chris, upstages me. He made the front page of the Record Eagle. Actually he was on TV last week, but I didn't see it, so it doesn't count. As you may, or may not, know Northport Public School has asked Traverse City Public if they could be annexed. If you click on Record Eagle, you can read the whole story. It is pretty interesting, and very big news around town. Obviously the subject is more dear to Chris' heart, but it still affects my kids. I certainly don't want NPS to close, but I hope they don't lose their identity either.

My 15 Minutes
Holy Cannoli!!!! My mom just called from KY to tell me that I was named one of the best something in this issue of Northern Express. Something about my website. Do you think I could find a freaking Express anywhere? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I will keep looking! In the meantime, if anyone out there has one, please send it to me. I thought maybe it would be on their website, but I couldn't find it. So there actually some people out there that are paying attention....or maybe it is just from my one vote that I cast for myself. Good thing I know how to toot my own horn...and am sooooo modest.
And for you perfectionists out there.....I know that is not hwo you spell cannolli.....so let it be.........especially now that I am famous.
